I can see that my simple question got bunch of good and bad reactions so I'll try to put the things where they should be.
First, RIPv1 is not tested on the lab exam which is confirmed from ccielab@cisco.com (actually people behind it, of course).
I do agree with people that said it is worth of learning RIPv1 and I did learned it (my lab is next week and I tought it will be on the exam) very well (at least I think so). It is the same thing like learning CatOS. You don't need it at the exam but you will probably need it in the real life and everyone that worked in networking knows that very well. You need just "exam things" if all you want to do is to get a certificate and being a "paper expert".
