I can't vouch for any vendors Security workbook, but if IE's Security
workbook is anywhere near as good as it's R&S workbook, you'll definately
have a winner on your hands.

Re: Rack Rentals

From my own personal experience, the 3 most important criteria's are:

1) Whether or not the physcial topology EXACTLY matches what expected by
the workbook vendor. If the physical topology isn't an exact match, (for
example, the lab diagram uses R1's int E2/0, but the rental rack uses fa1/0
for that same connection) you can end up wasting lots of time
troubleshooting stupid oversights. And, when something doesn't work
properly, you always end up wondering if it's because of something you don't
understand about the technology or if you're working with the wrong
interface.

2) Support. Let's face it. S**t happens. But, if you're able to reach
and get support from the rack vendor, alot of problems or mis-understandings
can be resolved quickly. In this regard, I've had excellent experiences
with www.ccie4u.com It's run by Ian Strong and not only is he exceptionally
helpful, he's a pleasure to work with and does his best to accomdate your
needs.

3) Cost. This might not be as important for some if they have the
benefit of being able to expense this prep cost, but if you're paying out of
your own pocket, obviously the total can add up quickly. In this respect, I
also have to recommend ccie4u.

So, given those criteria, I would check out ccie4u and see how closely their
rack matches the topology of the workbook you select. In the case of the IE
R&S workbook, it's a close but not exact match and the layout of the info
you need on their site isn't as "clean" and concise as it could be so that
slowed me down quite a bit. (This may have changed since I last looked.)
