Hi Mike,

You need to delete the vlan.dat and reload the switch. If you have
another switch on the network you need to do the same thing to that one;
otherwise the other switch will install the vlan.dat back on the
original switch after it reboots.

Cat1#delete vlan.dat
Delete filename [vlan.dat]?
Delete flash:vlan.dat? [confirm]
Cat1#

Thanks,

Subject: Deleting Vlan and VTP info

  Hello,

I have noticed on my lab that when I delete the config and reload, then
try
and configure VTP info that the previouse VTP domain is still
configured. Is
there a way to wipe this information out before I move on to another lab
scinario ?

  Thanks,

     Mike F.

Rack1SW1#conf t
Enter configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z.
Rack1SW1(config)#vt
Rack1SW1(config)#vtp doma
Rack1SW1(config)#vtp domain CCIE
