Tomek,

These are two independent commands:

1. ip mtu will set the max mtu size on the interface (max size of the packet before the IOS will fragment it) - this is protocol independent

2. ip ospf mtu-ignore - is specific to OSPF only, this command will allow OSPF to ignore MTU size when the adjecency is formed.
