If there are no calls, the other traffic is free to use that bandwidth.

Subject: LLQ or NO LLQ

Hi all, i have checked the archives and could not find any information:

Is it best practice to use LLQ for voice traffic and "nail-up" the bandwidth
for voice. The problem i am having is that the voice is running
uncompressed(g711) and even with 10 calls i'm killing half my bandwidth on a
T1 when i set the priority (kbps) in the service policy. Can anyone recommend
an alternative keeping in mind that i cannot change the codec. or is it
better to guarantee that bandwidth?

Thank you
