Here is my understanding.. Please correct me if I am wrong..
DLSw+ terminates the LLC Type 2 connection on the DLSw+ device/router.
Means no LLC2 stuff from Peers will be recieved. Hence none of the
parameters will be considered to terminate the LLC2 connection..
As per the Practical Studies Vol I...
By adding a timeout value, the peer automatically is disconnected if
no data has been received from a PEER for the length of the timeout
value.
The inactivity timer also should be set when creating a dynamic
peer. A dynamic peer will stay active 10 minutes after the last
circuit has disconnected from the PEER. When you create a dynamic
peer, the router automatically adds a timeout value and disables
keepalives. This is for
the same reasons mentioned in the previous section on configuring
backup over DDR.
Sounds like timeout and Keepalive is used only for DDR and inactivity
for dynamic Peer is configured.
Any body else?
