Applying vlan maps

Hi guys,

Is there ever any reason to apply a vlan map to more than 1 switch in a vtp
domain?

I just saw an example where the same vlan map is applied to the same vlan on
both 3550's in a vtp domain.

Personally, I think it shouldn't matter on which switch in a switching domain
a vlan map is applied on.

Is this true?
