Hi,
I'm having trouble with this redistribution
(OSPF)--R1 -- (RIP 1)-- R2
The nw link between R1 and R2 is 172.16.10.0/24
I'm advertising 'network 172.16.0.0' under router rip
R1 also has connected subnet 172.16.20.0/29. Since this is RIP 1, in order for R1 to advertise this I've used 'ip summary address
rip 172.16.20.0 255.255.255.0' under the interface. So far so good. R1 learns abt 172.16.20.0/24 subnet
Now R1 learns of another subnet 172.16.30.0/25 from OSPF and I want to redistribute this to RIP. How do I do it?
Because of the differing subnet mask a normal redistribution i.e 'redistribute ospf metric x' will not work.
I know that I can create a static route under R1 pointing to null0 and redistribute static to OSPF, but this is not allowed (no
static routes allowed)
What am I missing here?
Thanks
Rohan
