It's a very interesting book for real-life. However, the lab doesn't
require that level of detail -- master the core stuff instead. I'd maybe
read it, but it woudln't be a priority, as only the last chapter (QoS) and
the appendix on Netflow would likely matter.

If you are really looking for advanced stuff, but with more of a relevance
to the exam, I suggest instead Alex Zinin's book Cisco IP Routing. Great
stuff, and well written. Just be advised it is a humbling experience to
realise how little you really know about plain old static routes :-)
