Two quick questions on serial interface queuing:
Do all serial interfaces have a high priority, hardware broadcast queue
along with a normal hardware queue? My understanding is that they do. If
so can you view the status (current depth) of either of these FIFO
hardware queues?
When you're running frame-relay and do a "show interfaces serial"
command you actually see "broadcast queue 0/64" (for example). Is the
frame relay broadcast queue at all related to the hardware broadcast
queue or is this a completely separate software queue created when you
enable frame-relay encapsulation on an interface? I'm assuming that this
is a software queue, but would like someone to confirm this.
Thanks,
dave
