Hi Tim,
The name parameter is used to give a dynamic name to the acl. For me, it
makes it easier to remember and understand if I try and lab out a
particular situation, I can tell you the answer, but if you at least try
and lab it up, you will remember it better, at least that has been the
case for me. I would recommend to try and lab this out to see if you can
answer the question yourself. If you need assistance with getting rack
to try, please email me offline.
Sincerely,
Sincerely,

Subject: Lock & Key (Dynamic) ACL's
Hi guys,
When creating a dynamic acl entry, what is the name parameter used for?
Does
it have to match a name used somewhere else?
For example, in this entry,
access-list 100 dynamic CaptainKirt permit ip any host x.x.x.x
Do I need to use the name CaptainKirt in my username ------ password
------
command. In all the examples I've seen, this is how's it's done, but I
haven't seen anything that documents that.
TIA, Tim
