I would hope that Cisco does not ask such a vague question
on the test :) The 127.0.0.0/8 network is reserved (where
127.0.0.1 is typically the loopback address) and is often
filtered on routers if they are using the bogon lists. The
169.254.0.0/16 is assigned by windows xp for example when
you don't have a static assigned or when you have dhcp
enabled but no response is returned. I would say the 169
network is more Microsoft specific than the 127 network if I
had to pick :)
