Multicast Doubt

Hi all

I have a doubt in the basics.
In Bidir PIM,there is no source registration,the source directly send data packet to RP ,then the RP forwards to the intended recievers.How is this action called bidirectional tree ?
In PIM SM also,once the registration is completed,the source sends the data packet to RP,then RP forwards data to recivers.

Second doubt is in SSM,how the receiver knows which source is transmitting the data the receiver wants to receive.For example i want to join the in the multicast group 230.100.100.100,how do i know which is the source machine sending this traffic ?
