Hi Reza,
Is this a word-of-mouth rumor or is it documented on some website?
Personally, I have heard of no such thing. Having said that, I have typically used Cisco GBICs in Cisco equipment to save myself needless hassles (sometimes "interoperability" is not quite what it seems to be).
Maybe someone else will have a better take on this. I am curious as well.
