Hi Scott,

The (2) 6513 are the Core switches. I have at least (50) 3750-48/24 port
switches which will be scattered through 23 IDFs. Having said that each IDF
will have about (5 - 6) 3750 switches in CasCading technology. I will then
have 2 Uplink ports from each IDF connecting to each 6513 switches. The (2)
6513 will also be doing VLAN Load Balancing with HSRP redundancy so it means
that each IDF will have (1) Forwarding Uplink and (1) Blocking uplink ports
to Core switches.

I agree with Alexei's answer that PVST will be a better choice. The only
benefit with MST is that a faster convergence with least commands. But PVST
can also provide the faster convergence by simply turning on the features
such as Backbone Fast and Uplink Fast.

Any Comments?

Richard
