Devices connected to a medium have to agree on how they encapsulate, if
they want to communicate.
If you have only two devices, they better speak the same way!
If you have ISL, either both ends have ISL or they won't speak.
If you have 802.1Q, then you have a chance of they talking event if they
don't agree, because the native vlan is usually encapsulated without
tagging, so an "access" device can talk to a trunk native vlan.
(a routed switch interface makes an access device)
Your output sounded like the switch was configured for a trunk too, and
traffic was being sent over vlan 134. If that's not the case, please
posts the configs...
