Hi,
I think that from a time and cost effectiveness point of view, before taking
a bootcamp, you should take 1 or 2 mock labs to see how close or how far you
are from passing.
If you find based on your results from the mock labs, you've got alot of
material you need to review and practice, then I would hold off on the
bootcamp and get a practive labs workbook. The one from IE is excellent and
includes at no extra charge a detailed Solutions Guide that explains in
comprehensive detail why the correct is correct and what you need to know to
properly approach the task at hand.
If you find, however, that you really know your stuff, maybe you'll decide
you don't need to attend a bootcamp at all. You're ready to take and pass
the lab.
If you find that you're almost ready to take the lab but need a little more
expertise to get over the hump, then, in this case only, would I recommend
you're taking a bootcamp.
In other words, IMHO, the only situation where you'll gain the maximum
benefit from a bootcamp is when you already really know your stuff but need
to perfect some lab taking strategies and fill some minor gaps in your
knowledge or understanding.
If what you really need is some more practice, a bootcamp won't substitute
for practice. If, on the other hand, you're really good and FAST at
configuring almost everything that you might come across in a lab, but
occasionally come across some things you don't know how to approach, then a
bootcamp might be just the thing.
HTH, Tim
