Yep. A careful reading of the recert requirements supports this, and
I'll probably use it myself!

Jeff - You can actually recert for 4 years. Let's say
your recert is due by October 1st, 2004. You can take
the recert exam September 25th which extends you to
October 1st, 2006. Then after October 1st 2004 (ie
within 2 years of expiration date of Oct 1, 2006) you
can retake the written (Say October 2nd) and that will
extend it out to October 1st, 2008.
