General Prerequisites

Q: What are the prerequisites for CCIE? Do I need to be a CCNP before I
go for CCIE?

A: There are no prerequisites or other certification requirements for
CCIE. To obtain expert certification, you must pass both the CCIE
written exam and the corresponding lab exam.
