Hi,
The halabi book is very good for BGP fundamentals...
The fundamentals of a protocol wouldnt change with your IOS versions..
And parkhurst book a yes and a no as it revolves around various command
available to do different things in BGP.
So as far as parkhurst goes go through all the methods he has explained for
configuration and troubleshooting and then check the latest IOS version for
any new commands for the similar configuration.
for eg;
in that book you could find that BGP can advertise routes by using
network, redistribute and aggregate command.
and when you comare these command with the new IOS you will come across a
new method which is Inject Map.
