I have a question for the group.. As we know, first-hop DR send
PIM-Register messages to RP, and RP may respond with register-stop
message by either switching to SPT or just ignore the messages(no
receivers).

My question is whether the same processes will follow if RP is
also first-hop DR, i.e, source is directly connected to RP. I would
think it is not needed since RP get the feed from source directly but like
to verify it with the group..
