Hi,
Thanks for the wishes Diego. Everybody else thank you for the individual
emails.
My intent was to let everybody know how I felt, about the decisions I made,
as I prepared. I know I had a lot of questions about where to go, what I
should do, and how I should go about choosing books. Some other questions
included what items do I need for my rack, where to go when I was studying.
I spent my own money to obtain this certification, which made every decision
a little more stressful.
If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't change a thing. I am very
proud of the decisions that I made, and the fact that I went to sit the lab
multiple times. No regrets!
When it came to choosing a bootcamp, I paid very special attention to the
following:
1) people that went to multiple bootcamps, and never obtained their number
2) people that went to multiple bootcamps, and obtained their number
3) stayed away from direct or indirect advertisements from people that
worked/owned a bootcamp
Anytime I saw a thread tooting their own horn about how great their
organizations bootcamp was, or why I should choose their firm over others, I
immediately crossed them off my list. I am a strong believer in listening
to people who have "been there, done that", and not sales fud.....
John, I am very disapointed in your informercial. Yesterday was one of the
happiest days of my life. I read the first part of the post, became very
disapointed, and deleted it. I didn't want to read the rest of it, didn't
want to reply either... I wanted to ignore it and help anybody else who
might have a question about the methods I used to pass. After seeing what
others wrote I felt it necessary. Based on your post alone, I would not
choose your firm.
Please keep in mind that I am posting this to help your firm in the future,
this is not meant to be hurtful in any way:
>Do not post commercial advertisements concerning some product you are
>trying to sell to the list >members. If you would like to offer the list
>members a discount for your product, please contact
> >cisco-owner@groupstudy.com for further instructions.
Even thought it was not a direct advertisement, it was pretty darn close.
The reason that I wouldn't choose your firm, was based on your indirect
advertisement. I give you credit for being creative. Please don't see my
comments as being negative or hurtful in nature, they are meant to be
genuine.
So, keeping that in mind, I am hoping that this thread will die.
Best of luck to everyone,
Eric
