Anycast RP & AutoRP questions

Hi Group:

I'm working building a multicast design on a corporate network and i have
some doubts about the most preferable, resilent design . I'm planning to
configure Anycast RP, having 2 routers as RPs, because it offers RP
redundancy and, at the same time, some "load distribution" since each
multicast router uses the RP closest to it (in terms as IGP cost as you
know).

My "problem" is that our network is a bit symmetrical, and some multicast
speaking routers that provide multicast access to some multicast clients
have the same IGP cost to reach the 2 RPs. (at these case, the router that
connects these clients have a directed connected link to each RP and the
IGP cost is the same). I'm using OSPF as IGP and i suppose that on this
case the multicast flood will be load balanced between the two RPs. Do you
think this is a desirable situation? I would like some grade of "rp load
distribution", but i do not know if this case may degrade the multicast
applications performance...

I know i can give different ospf costs to each one of these links on these
"problematic" routers, but i have no real experience on these scenarios and
i am not sure about the best solution.

By the other way, anyone can briefly compare the advantages of Anycast RP
vs AutoRp with multiple RPs?

Regards

Juan
