Hello Rajagopal,
Could you explain more about your 7500 hardware configuration(ex,ESCON or
BUS&TAG, Token-ring or Ethernet) and what kind result do you want to have?
Normally we still keep IBM 374X to be backup so we put all Token-ring
adapters to be same MAC address as FEP.
Before you start to do the CIP installation, you need to get some
informations from your customer Mainframe SP.
1. IOCP gen.
2.XCA major node configuration.
That's very easy to do the installation if you have the Token-ring & VTAM
concepts. If you need help to do the installation just give me a e-mail
which contain your customer OS type & version and those 2 information.
Especial what kind result do you want to have. I can try to give you the
correct sample configuration.
Best regards
Charles Yin

Subject: CIP interface configuration
Hello,
Can anybody throw me light on CIP interfaces. I have a customer who has a
7500 router and a CIP interface card. currently all his mainframe
applications are running over DLSW with FEPs. He wants to get rid of this.
What are all the precautions that one has to take during this migration ?
can anybody send me the config details of the cip interface please ?
REgards,
Rajagopal.S
