Using route maps gives you more flexibilty and control over what nat pool,
destination (or source) and interface(s) to use. You can use multiple pools
natting out of multiple interfaces.

Here are 2 examples from CCO:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/iosswrel/ps1839/products_feature_guide09186a0080087bac.html

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/tech/tk648/tk361/technologies_tech_note09186a0080093fca.shtml

I have also uploaded a powerpoint preso in the files section that has some
examples.

hth,

Robert

I noticed in Cisco's flash card book for CCNP it emphasizes using
route-maps during NAT configuration.

Can anyone here explain why it's preferred? What's the difference?
