Nah, you're not a dinosaurs. I would never answer a question that could be
figured out from going and looking in the command index or read off of
Cisco's site and I'm > 5 digits. When people ask simple questions it makes
me think of Dorothy from the Wizard of OZ. She runs up to the farmer,
telling him how Ms. Gulch chased her dog. He just responds, "Honey I've got
them hogs to get in." In other words you've got to be kidding me with this?
I only answer questions that I think are conceptually hard to get because
the documentation is lousy about it. That's the way I feel about Cisco's QoS
documentation. It almost seems like you already have to know QoS really
well... which I don't... to really benefit from the documentation. It seems
purely like a reference tool. But, I don't post my questions about it
because I realize the only way I'm going to learn anything is to go dig out
the answer myself. You never forget a concept or an answer if you spend 3
hours digging for it. But if you're handed the answer, you'll forget it
tomorrow. But I will ask a question if I've been pounding my head for 3 days
over a topic. So I bought the DQoS book and started working through that.
When that's done ya'll might get a few questions from me. ;-)
