Voip Number & Hyphen question

Hi Guys,

I was doing an IEWB Lab (#2) and the solution was:

dial-peer voice 1 pots
destination-pattern 555-0001
port 1/0/0

However, in the next lab, it had no hyphen in the solution.

OK... all super. Let's take the lab with the hyphen for a start. If i do
the following:

csim start 555-0001

it works. But not:

csim start 5550001

So obviously the two are not the same. It takes notice of the hyphen. My
question is, when would need a hyphen in real life?

Thanks

Daniel Sheedy
