Sounds like an ok plan to me. Alternatively you could configure your ISDN
at any point with a base config to get it working and then if required to
use it as a backup configure that piece later. Then if you have issues with
ISDN you know it's related to the backup configuration aspect.

configuration is done coz ussually isdn is used to backup the primary
