Voice over ATM

Hi guys,

This is an example config of voice over ATM:

interface ATM3/0

  pvc 0/101

  ubr 1000

  encapsulation aal5mux voice

!

dial-peer voice 1 voatm

 destination-pattern 8871010

 session target ATM3/0 pvc 0/101

Here's my question:

If I'm configuring voip, do I still need the "voice" parameter in the

"encapsulation aal5mux voice" command above?

Can someone explain what the voice option actually does?
