Hello Team,
I have both of the books, here is my take on it. I read the QOS book by
Vegesna, cover to cover. I never read the DQOS book, but I browse
through it. Here is a very good resource I highly, recommend, is to read
the QOS section of the documentation CD. I also recommend reading the
QoS section from Practical Studies vol II. I read all of it on my
computer screen. I am also in the process of writing my book, so when it
comes out, I will let you all know. I would also like to add, that there
are bits and pieces of QoS information, in lab vendor workbooks as well.
I can also tell you that the DQoS book is around 1000 pages, quite a big
book for QoS.

Just my 2 cents :

I read the DQOS from front to back without being bored, not a lot of
cisco
press books can do that for me ;-)

It is very well written, and Wendell even corrects statements which are
plain wrong in other books. And it still is very detailed.

I would highly recommend the DQOS book, although not labeled as "CCIE
Prep"
material it should be.

Kind regards,

Koem.

From a practical point of view (passing the lab), the DQoS is much, much
more valuable and easier to digest.

However, if you want to understand the nitty gritty of WFQ, you won't
find
anything with greater detail from Cisco Press.
