Sorry, but this is not true. Once you expire the CCxP, you will need to pass
all exams again to get the cert again. The CCIE certification will only
renew an ACTIVE CCxP certification. There is no grace-period with CCxP like
for the CCIE renewal.

Well..I received the lab results from my first attempt today at RTP. I felt
really good when I finished, and even though I didn't pass, I still feel
that by looking at my score results that I was very close. Gonna take a real
short break, regroup, and get back at it. In the meantime, I could use just
a little advice. My CCNP/DP expires in October, should I renew that before
getting back into it, (I cannot afford to go back for at least 3-4 months)
or if I am going to pursue the CCIE until I get it, should I just not waste
any time renewing them ?
