I was there, just walked in the door a couple of hours ago. I attended full
tectorial sessions on both Monday and Friday. I totally agree that the
training sessions are outstanding. Since there are sessions on all levels,
in all specialties, you are sure go back to work with some new tools on the
tool belt.
Now, being this was my second year attending, I was disappointed with the
extras this time. Last year (in Orlando), after the sessions were over, the
food, along with the open bar (which they only had on the first night) was
present in the World of Solutions every night until 9 or 10 pm; with all of
the vendors there available for discussion. If you went to the sessions
religiously this year, you essentially would have been able to wave hello as
you went to get lunch. The first night was so packed you couldn't even make
your way around. (Last year Cisco had a West coast and an East coast
Networkers).
The party was cool, but in a direct comparison to last year, 3 tickets
wasn't the same as 5 hours of open bar. (Which I guess could be why the 3
ticket system came about. I personally didn't have any problems eating, and
drinking god knows how many beers, then going on "The Hulk" numerous times,
but maybe others did?)
None the less it is quite the conference.
