David, I think they're great! The solutions guide is killer. I really learned some good stuff from the guide. Stuff that in the past I could never get a clear understanding of, because let's face it - some Cisco docs are not always great and a good deal of books just stop short of helping you to grasp the full concepts.
I failed Tuesday, but I'm going to blame the harder test (I really do believe it was harder then my first lab) and the tooth pain I had that caused me to fail. I had dental surgery yesterday to fix the problem. I couldn't take the Vicoden during the lab. Yeah, that was it the dental pain that caused me fail. ;)
Honestly, its' been two days now and I keep wishing I was double jointed so I can kick myself in the ass. Because a few things that stumped me the other day are suddenly so clear.
I do think it's a good book and a good value. I think you probably should have more then one guide. Like maybe something from IPExpert. Different approaches/perspectives to problems can really help you learn.
Good luck to you!
Joe

Off Topic but ? Has anyone taken the mock labs offering by
http://www.InternetworkExpert.com, and don't say they are great just
because these guys are on the group :-)
Here is your chance for constructive feedback :-)
