Sorry the confusion. The range 169.223.252.0 is the infrastructure block used in the Cisco example.
Would it be wise to filter the source address with the phrase "Addresses within this block should not appear on the public Internet" in RFC3030?
They would be:
169.254.0.0/16
192.0.2.0/24
127.0.0.0/8
224.0.0.0/4
