Hi Group,

I sent a email to Maurilio Gorito last friday, and he sent me the following:

"Unfortunately a mistake happened and the first print went out without the
CD (even my own copy). I suggest you to contact Walmart regarding the CD,
or even Cisco Press direct
http://www.ciscopress.com/about/contact_us/index.asp. Cisco Press is
working to send the CD to who bought the Book without it".

About the Book, It is really Great!!!

We Know the theory and the practice, BUT WE NEED TO PRACTICE THE CISCO CCIE
WORDING". So, that book is the solution!!!

This Book says "This Book possesses solid and Practical guidance for anyone
pounding away at the keyboard whether it is for the pursuit of the CCIE or
the pursuit of the socurce of the problem".

I think this book has new ways to solvent the tasks,,,

DLSW and NAT, RIP Unicast, PPPoFR, Full ISDN, VoIP Multicasting (It is a
great task), VoFR and so on!!! Also, All the features you can do it with IGP
and BGP...

It has 2 sw3550 in the LABS 4-6.

I really think It is a great Book!!!

ALSO THIS BOOK HAS A GREAT PART ++++ ASK THE PROCTOR ++++

It has a lot of questions we have each time we read a task!!!

So If you have $50 buy it!!! Also, more LABS more opportunity to pass the
LAB... It doesn4t matter the Topics,,, We would like to be Experts,,,

Also, Don4t worry if you have IExpert Book... I don4t have it, But I really
know this is a Great Book...

Rgds,

Sergio

Hey Tim,

I believe in the introduction they state that the first three labs are more
content-focused and thus include only one switch. I believe they
specifically state that labs 4-6 contain 2 switches.

However, at $8.66 per lab, this really is a great deal.

Plus, it's written by the CCIE proctor in San Jose! I believe he, of all
people, really understands what type of questions can appear on the lab!

Ken

Hi,

I just picked up my copy yesterday. As others have already discovered, a CD
was NOT included.

So far, I've gone through the first lab and some of the 2nd lab. And, I've
learned a bunch of new things. I agree that some of the requirements appear
to be a bit far fetched but, even so, I believe that the more practice one
has, the more ways you see requirements stated, the more likely it will be
that you pass the lab.

The example you mention of using NAT to fulfill the RIP requirement of
sending unicasts without the neighbor statement took me a while to fully
understand but it opened my eyes to a new way of using NAT ( ass backwards),
but how can knowing that reduce one's chances of passing the lab.

One criticism I have is that so far ( I haven't looked at labs 3 thru 6) the
labs don't include 2 3550's. Since the actual lab does have 2 3550's, these
practice labs can't include many important features that only come into play
with 2 3550's. Maybe the labs I haven't yet seen correct this omission.

HTH, Tim
