Hi,
I just picked up my copy yesterday. As others have already discovered, a CD
was NOT included.
So far, I've gone through the first lab and some of the 2nd lab. And, I've
learned a bunch of new things. I agree that some of the requirements appear
to be a bit far fetched but, even so, I believe that the more practice one
has, the more ways you see requirements stated, the more likely it will be
that you pass the lab.
The example you mention of using NAT to fulfill the RIP requirement of
sending unicasts without the neighbor statement took me a while to fully
understand but it opened my eyes to a new way of using NAT ( ass backwards),
but how can knowing that reduce one's chances of passing the lab.
One criticism I have is that so far ( I haven't looked at labs 3 thru 6) the
labs don't include 2 3550's. Since the actual lab does have 2 3550's, these
practice labs can't include many important features that only come into play
with 2 3550's. Maybe the labs I haven't yet seen correct this omission.
HTH, Tim
