Ali,
A fairly recent product innovation is now available from a number of
vendors.
Look for something called a mock lab or virtual lab or simulated lab. This
is where a vendor supplies you with lab instructions and access to a rack.
You'll be given a time slot of 8 hours just like the real lab and after you
do the lab, the vendor grades your performance and give you the results.
Typically, you'll do the lab remotely on the vendor's equipment. During the
mock lab, you'll find all the core topics covered plus many of the non core
topics such as QoS, voip, NAT, NTP, snmp, etc, etc
Personally, I think this is an excellent lab prep resourse. Until simulated
labs became available, the only way to really know how prepared you were for
the lab was to take the actual lab. And, given the cost of the lab plus
travel expenses, that was quite an expensive proposition if it turned out
you weren't ready fot the lab.
Given the much lower cost of these simulated labs, you'll be able to afford
taking several practice labs for what one real lab would cost.
HTH, Tim
