Because the odd numbered SAPs are responses. Responses don't exist in the
destination SAP field. They are SSAPs only.

I don't get why the mask would be 0x0001 instead of 0x0101 ?
If we are interested in matching 0x04 & 0x05 then wouldn't we need to have
the mask as 0x0101 Same applies for NetBios: Need to match F0 & F1 then the
mask would be 0x0101.
If I am getting something wrong here then kindly correct me.

The more specific values for SNA are 0x0404 0x0001 you have 0x0101 for the
second part, which you may want to watch for on the lab
NetBIOS is 0xF0F0 0x0001 no 0xF0F0 0x0101
From the DOC CD
It is under bridging...then Source Route Bridging
Just do a search for 0xF0F0 and it will come up
DOC CD Portion
The preceding statement requires three access lists to be configured:
a.. An access list that passes a frame if it is a NetBIOS frame (SAP =
0xF0F0)
b.. An access list that passes a frame if it is an SNA frame (SAP =
0x0404)
c.. An access list that passes a MAC address of 0110.2222.3333 The
following configuration allows for all these conditions:
! Access list 201 passes NetBIOS frames (command or response) access-list
201 permit 0xF0F0 0x0001 !
access-list 202 permit 0x0404 0x0001 ! Permits SNA frames (command or
response)
access-list 202 permit 0x0004 0x0001 ! Permits SNA Explorers with NULL DSAP
