A good place to look for IP address space allocations is the following:
http://www.iana.org/assignments/ipv4-address-space
I use this list to build BGP and ACL filters based on the "Reserved"
allocations. The reserved addresses should not show up your routing
table nor should the be valid IP Addresses.
An important thing if you use this list is that you need to regularly
check it to see if there are any changes which could cause you to lose
routing information or block legitimate traffic.

Subject: Class A network
Hi group,
I just came across an ACL on an internet router containing the line:
access-list 110 deny ip 0.0.0.0 0.255.255.255
And i was wondering, the first class A network: 0.x.x.x Is this a valid
network ? Is this network distributed to a company on the internet ??
If so, then i can't filter it off.
If not official, i can filter it completely off to prevent hackers
spoofing these addresses.....
Regards,
Geert
