OT: Default routing for ospf domain

Dear fellow Groupstudians:
I have a small ospf network that consist of 100 router divided into 5 areas. Now at one site (R1) i am provided an external internet connection whose ip i get to by 192.168.1.1.
To distribute this to the network under ospf I add:

 R1#
router ospf 1
default information originate (to generate th default rt)
 and

ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 192.168.1.1 ( to point traffic to the gateway).

Is this correct, is there another better way?
