There are rev's of this, but I think you'll find that the Ses don't
necessarily have the specifics about it anyway. These images are set up for
them, and just "happen".
But, otherwise, you're correct, things should be run on the supported
machines. You can find them on Ebay for not all that much money. No need
to complain!

I have seen on couple of cases where Internal Cisco engineers use CM on
their laptops/PCs for IPCC Project trials/labing ...etc. But I guess they do
it with the help of a registry hack which enables their system to trick the
CM to believe their laptops/Pcs as if they are one of CM loadable servers
such as DL 380s or certain models of IBMs..etc.
Just like IOU, I think Cisco may not like the idea of this hack floating
around/leaking outside their control. So I do not think any one is going to
respond positively to this request.
