I am thinking of "show ip mroute" on R4, then look for entries with source IP..

Is there a command to discover what router won the Assert process?

This is the net:

              / |
Source----R1-- |---R4

               -------R3----|

Indirectly I can discover which router (R2 or R3) has the best metric or higher IP, but not sure if there is a command that shows which one was choosen to forward multicast on the LAN connected to R4.
