RE: Somewhat OT: CCIE lab temparament

After lurking for the last year on this list, I'm breaking my silence
here :)

I suppose that I have a fairly good experience, in that I am one the
lucky ones to pass first go. Lucky because I don't really want to relive
the night after sitting the exam.

My list of thank yous and advice is the same as everyone else, but there
is something that deserves special mention. I counted heavily on my
experience to get me through (family, work and sleep got stopped many
study opportunities) and that almost got in the way. I had to make a
choice whether to do what *I* would do on my networks, or to answer the
question. We all have our preferred methods of doing things in our work
environment as dictated by experience and best practice - so be careful
in the exam.

And as encouragement, nothing beats the feeling when you find out that
you passed - you won't be fit to operate heavy machinery.
