Hello,

The question will be leading you to the most appropriate way to do.
If asked to bring the link up once a specific route is missing then it is a
dialer watch job.
If asked to make the ISDN down and bring it up incase of topology change and
your routing protocol over the ISDN was OSPF then it will be " ip ospf
demand-circuit ".
Sometimes task requires using both the dialer watch technique and the ip
ospf demand-circuit technique at the same time.

By time and practice you will figure out which way to use in solving the
task.

Yasser

Subject: ISDN doubts..

Hello All,
I have a very basic question about ISDN being used as backup . In the lab
how can I figure out whether they are asking me to configure ISDN dialer
watch or OSPF deman circuit or backup interface.
According to me all the three above meets the requirement of backup for the
primary link.
Any help would be highly appreciated.
Thanks,
Cert.
