From my personal experience with the lab, I can tell you the following:

1- Know the core topics cold. You can never depend on the DOC CD to solve an
OSPF, BGP or EIGRP issue. Most of the information is not there.

2- Thee DOC CD is very important especially on the lesser topics because no
matter what you know, Cisco will come up with things that you've never seen
before. Make sure you know how to find what you need.

3- There is lots of time to search for information in the lab. I finished in
4 hours and had 4 hours to check and recheck. I also had a small question
that took me an hour to figure out.

4- Your nerves can make or break you. Make sure you get a few hours of sleep
the night before. I exercised (running and shadow boxing) for an hour and by
mid night I was quite tired and had no problem sleeping. It really helped me
release the tension.

Good luck.

Has anyone who has passed the lab had a good experience ? If so then please
tell us your story, I am starting to get depressed,

I'd agree with that point - I think that you should feel very compfortable
with all the labs in your favourite lab scenario workbook (or workbooks),
and should be able to complete them well within the time specified.

And, of course, make sure you understand *why* each task in each scenario is

completed in the way specified in your lab solutions.

Once you are able to complete your labs as described above, it's a good idea

to follow all the links from the online resources section of the r&s ccie
webpage & confirm that you have extensively practiced all the subjects
listed in the lab exam blueprint.

When I did my lab (many moons ago), I prepared assuming that I wouldn't have

any time at all to reference the CD in the lab. Some people prepare assuming

that they'll have time to just reference anything they don't know on the CD,

but I personally think this may be a mistake - it may lead you to be
complacent.

Hope that helps,

Mark
