The 'root primary' command decreases the switch priority by 4096 less than
the current root port for that vlan.

Subject: vlan root and vlan priority

Hi Group

What is the difference between the below? Does both achieve the same, ie
switch wil be root for VLAN 10 ?

Switch(config)#spanning-tree vlan 10 priority 0

AND

Switch(config)#spanning-tree vlan 10 root primary

TIA

Sam
