Hi Brian
Agreed about the purpose of MinCIR, however if asked to guarantee 256Kbps I could either use BW statement on Interface or shape my PVC to MinCIR of 256Kbps.
Would this serve the same purpose ? I encountered this going thru ur labs but could not really see in which circumstances each of them applies and was more appropriate.
Thanks in advance
Sam

The MINCIR value in the frame-relay map-class is simply used to
define a worst case rate you will shape down to when the BECN bit is set
in frames you receive from the frame-relay network.
