Dynamic fr mapping

Hi,

I have a question regarding FR dynamic mapping. Is any configuration required for dynamic mapping to work?

My understanding is, as long as the FR switch has been configured right, the routers should learn the DLCI's and the associated ip
address by sending StEnq messages.

I have observed this behaviou on the main interface on the router (dynamic mapping works) but would this change for a multipoint
subinterface?

Ex in the topology attached(an FR switch is in between),

I have statically defined the DLCI 104 on R1 on the p-p int using 'interface dlci 104'
Also on R4, statically defined mapping on main int using 'frame-relay map ip <ip> 401'

But for the other dlci/ip pairs , should not inarp work? I'm not seeing any entry under 'sh frame-relay map' for R1 except the
static one.

But for R% and R6 I can see an entry

===============================
R5#sh frame-relay map
Serial2/0 (up): ip 0.0.0.0 dlci 501(0x1F5,0x7C50)
              broadcast,
              CISCO, status defined, active
=====================================

Any help would be great.

Thanks
Rohan
