I mean that area 0 is inactive on R3 and R4. Area 0 is active on R1 only
because it is next to SW1 which has Area 0 on it.
R1, R3, R4 are connected via multipoint interfaces.
Any ideas ?

The solution is what you are saying. What do you mean by "Area 0 remains
inactve" ?

Has anyone just done this Lab and it is fresh in their mind.
Area 0 is separated on three different routers either side of the frame cloud.
I have configured Vir Links between R1 - R3 - R4 using their perspective
loopbacks and the virtual links come up but Area 0 remains inactive. I have
the solution guide and my config is the same as what's written. Does anyone
know the answer to this ? Area 0R4-

Area 134 -R3-Area 0

R1 -
Area 0
Thanks for your help.
Lee Donald.
