Hi James,
If some one has two routers with two ATM cards, can he perform ATM
related tasks for CCIE lab preparation by connection these two cards
directly without ATM switch?

Yes. Make sure you have 2 routers with atm interfaces that will connect
to the
switch. I'd make sure that they were the same type, SM or MM, and not
DS3 or T3
because you don't have those interfaces.
